These terms describe the basis on which I provide consulting and tutoring services. By engaging me for these services, you agree to these terms. They are intended to be plain-English and reasonable; if anything is unclear, please ask.

Services

I offer academic consulting (college admissions advising, graduate school admissions advising, medical school admissions advising) and science tutoring services. Specific scope, schedule, and fees are agreed upon individually before sessions begin.

Booking and cancellation

Sessions are booked in advance. If you need to reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice. Same-day cancellations may not be refundable. I reserve the right to reschedule sessions if necessary, with as much notice as possible.

Fees and payment

Fees are agreed upon before services begin and are payable as outlined in our individual agreement. I do not store payment information on this site.

Confidentiality

I treat all client information — applications, essays, personal circumstances, academic records — as confidential. I do not share it with anyone outside our working relationship without explicit consent.

Limits on what I can promise

I bring my expertise, attention, and best judgment to every engagement. I cannot, however, guarantee specific admissions outcomes, exam scores, or grades — these depend on factors outside my control. My role is to help you put forward your strongest work.

Communication

Most of my work happens via email and video call. I respond to emails within a few days during regular weeks; if I'll be slower (e.g., during conference travel), I'll let you know.

Termination

Either of us may end our working relationship at any time, with reasonable notice. Fees for services already provided remain payable; fees paid in advance for services not yet provided will be refunded pro rata.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
